5 Cancer-Causing Snacks Your Children Should Never Eat Again

Petroleum- the yellow liquid used in the production of motor oil and gasoline is also used by many food producers in the process of production of foods sold on the American markets. Sadly, these products are very often being sold to children.

These foods are usually produced in the form of snacks with different colors, preservatives, and flavorings. The most popular are red dye #40 and yellow dye #5.

Although the FDA is still not worried about the use of these products in American food, many countries have forbidden their use in order to prevent dangerous health issues.

Here are the effects caused by the artificial dye foods according to latest studies:

The most used ones (90%) are yellow 5, yellow 6, and red 40 dyes.

Moreover, the executive director at CSPI, Michael Jacobson, says that even some fresh oranges happen to be colored with dye in order for them to get the best shine and color.

Red 40 may lead to immune system tumors in mice and allergic and hyperactive reactions in children.

Yellow 5 has been connected to organ damage and contains multiple cancerogenic substances than the red 40

Yellow 6 can cause hypersensitivity in children and adrenal tumors in animals.

Kellogg website writes that frosted strawberry, which is one of the most famous flavors, contains dangerous substances.

Among the other ingredients, these treats contain high fructose syrup, corn syrup, sugar, and dextrose which have all been connected to diabetes, sugar addiction and liver issues in children.

In addition, the snacks have TBHQ- a substance based on petroleum which is highly harmful for human`s DNA and may lead to cellular dysfunction.

Furthermore, experiments with laboratory animals showed that they may cause neurotoxic effects, vision loss, tumors, liver enlargement, paralysis, and convulsions.

  1. Fruit Snacks

Lots of snacks based on fruits, such as cereal bars filled with jam, which are presented as healthy, are actually rich in food colorings in order to be more attractive.

They usually contain red 3 which is forbidden from use in cosmetic supplements because it may cause thyroid tumors.

  1. M&Ms

Besides yellow 5 and 6, and red 40, these treats are also colored by blue 1 and 2. Blue 1 impedes the development of nerve cells, and blue 2 is considered to lead to tumors in the bladder and brain.

  1. Cheetos

Orange snacks which are colored with yellow 6 also have an artificial flavoring mix of a variety of harmful substances.

The `Flamin Hot` variety was even noticed to lead to gastritis, abdominal distress, and addiction in childrenand adults.

  1. Teddy grams

Although they look safe, these snacks are usually linked to TBHQ which, besides the above mentioned consequences, may also cause vomiting, nausea, stomach cancer, anxiety, and delirium.

Luckily, you can easily avoid all these products and consume healthier, organic, and all-natural products instead. All the fruits and vegetables are a great substitute for the processed and chemically treated snacks.
